Dr. Sarah, originally from Kingston upon Thames, U.K., graduated from the prestigious Royal London Dental Hospital in 1989. She is the visionary founder and Clinical Director of the British International Dental Centre in Doha, where she has led the evolution of modern dental care in Qatar for over three decades.

In 1994, Dr. Sarah opened her first clinic in Doha, establishing a reputation for clinical excellence and compassionate care. Her leadership and innovation soon led to the launch of Dr. Sarah’s Specialist Dental Centre in 2004, followed by a second branch—British International Dental Centre—in 2010, located in Salam Tower with panoramic views of the Corniche.

Dr. Sarah introduced a pioneering team-based model and fourth-generation dentistry to her practice—ensuring that each patient receives the most comprehensive, coordinated care. She believes that most dental diseases are preventable, and she champions a proactive, education-driven approach to oral health.

Deeply committed to community wellness and the next generation of dental professionals, Dr. Sarah has delivered guest lectures at Qatar University’s Dental School and actively supports elective placements for dental students. Dr. Sarah supports health outreach programs for local schools and continues to invest in the ongoing education of her dental team. Dr. Fady Alian was born in Birmingham, England and is a British citizen of Egyptian origin. He is fluent in English and Arabic. He joined Dr. Sarah’s Specialist Dental Centre in 2008.

Dr. Fady is specialized in providing root canal treatments and complex restorative procedures. He is experienced in the most advanced techniques including operating microscope and 3D printed restorations with a postgraduate Master Course in Clinical and Surgical Microendodontics. He is a Consultant in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry.

He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh ( UK) with over 20 years of clinical experience, an assistant professor of Endodontics with over ten years of academic and teaching experience in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry. He has a valid ILS (Immediate Life Support) and radiation license which are regularly updated.

Dr. Fady Alian is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, Egyptian Association of Endodontics and the Egyptian Dental Association. He has a valid ILS (Immediate Life Support) and radiation license which are regularly updated.

Dr. Fady Alian is the Regional Consultant for Special Olympics International for North Africa and the Middle East.

Dr. Nafeh Fansa was born in 1979 in Aleppo, Syria. He graduated from dental school at the University of Aleppo in 2002. Dr. Nafeh is specialised in Paediatric Dentistry from the University of Paris VII & University of Rennes I in France; he obtained his Postgraduate diploma of Paediatric Dentistry ( DU CES GERPSP), and in 2012, he received one in Pediatric Orthodontics from the University of Bourgogne in France.

Before joining the British International Dental Centre in 2011 he worked in Saudi Arabia for 4.5 years.

Dr Nafeh is fluent in Arabic, French and English.

His specialisation is in Paediatric Dentistry which gives him the ability to treat children efficiently in a fun and comfortable way to break the barrier of fear, and build trust and confidence between the child and Dr Nafeh. Parents are welcome to accompany their child at all stages of their treatment. Dr. Nafeh's philosophy is to give special attention for prevention of dental caries by using the latest dental techniques. He has also done some teaching at Sidra Doha.

He is married and has two boys.

With a warm smile and over a decade of international experience, Dr. Yaser Hamdoun is passionate about helping patients look—and feel—their best. Originally from Syria and trained across the UK, Canada, and the UAE, Dr. Yaser has been proudly serving families in the British International Dental Centre in Qatar since 2018.

He completed his specialist training in Orthodontics at King’s College London, one of the world’s leading dental schools, and trained at the renowned Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Hospitals in central London. He holds advanced board certifications from both the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MOrth) and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MFDS).

Dr. Yaser is fully licensed by the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar and registered with the General Dental Council in the UK.

He is also a Clinical Assistant professor of Orthodontics at the College of Dental Medicine, Qatar.

Dr Housam is an Expert Oral Surgeon with a Gentle Touch

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Housam is a highly skilled oral surgeon who combines precision with compassion. He specialises in a wide range of oral and facial surgical procedures, including wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, and bone grafting—all performed with the goal of ensuring patient comfort and speedy recovery.

After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Damascus University in 1999, he went on to complete a Master’s degree in Oral Surgery in 2004. His training included a rigorous residency, where he gained hands-on expertise in both hospital-based and clinic-based surgical care.

Before joining The British International Dental Centre in 2009, Dr. Housam worked at King Fahad Hospital in Saudi Arabia, treating complex surgical cases. He holds professional licenses in both Qatar and Saudi Arabia, and he’s a proud member of the Syrian Dental Association.

Dr. Sushil brings over 20 years of experience in dentistry and is known for his gentle approach, thorough explanations, and genuine care for his patients’ well-being. Originally from India, he graduated in 1994 from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in Chennai. He went on to serve at the Government Medical College in Kottayam and later ran a private practice in India before moving to the Middle East. He joined Dr. Sarah’s Specialist Dental Centre in 2004 after two years of private dental practice in Oman.

Dr. Sushil is fluent in English and Hindi, and he continues to update his professional qualifications, including certifications in Immediate Life Support (ILS) and radiation safety. He is also a proud member of the American Dental Association.

A highly professional practitioner with 20 years experience, Julia works closely with her dental team to create an optimal caring environment for her patients. Dr. Zareena graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and went on to pursue her post-graduation in Periodontology and Oral Implantology (MDS) program at Yenepoya University, Mangalore in which she excelled academically. She diagnoses patient’s condition while educating them on the appropriate course of treatment to restore their oral healthy utilizing the most innovative, advanced procedures and state-of-the-art equipment available. She will ensure that every patient achieves a healthy and beautiful smile in a pleasant, stress-free environment. She is a strong believer in multi-specialty diagnosis and treatment planning for optimum dental management and enhanced outcome.

Dr. Leena was born in 1978 in India. She graduated as a dentist from Rajiv Gandhi University Banglore, India in 2003. In 2016 she obtained a diploma in hospital management. She is fluent in English and Hindi. She has 13 years experience in General Dentistry.

She joined Dr. Sarah’s Specialist Dental Centre in 2006 after 3 years of private practice in India. She organises Community School Dental Health programmes and is a member of the American Dental Association. She has a valid ILS (Immediate Life Support) and radiation license which are regularly updated.

Dr. Leena loves listening to music and has a beautiful singing voice.

Dr.Tamer is a consultant Paediatric Dentist with over 25 years of clinical and teaching experience. His professional expertise is based on helping children to enhance and maintain their oral health. He treats and helps prevent mouth and gum diseases, injuries and malformations of the teeth.  

He graduated from Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Cairo University in 1995 and obtained his Master Degree in Paediatric Dentistry in 2003 from Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Cairo University and his PhD in Paediatric Dentistry in 2010 from Faculty of Dentistry, Minia University

MEndo from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK; Doctorate degree in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry from the University of Sheffield, UK; advanced Endodontics certification from New York University, U.S.A. as well as the American National Dental Board certification.

She is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, Royal College of Surgeons and the European Society of Endodontology. She has been treating patients around the world in the USA, UK, Egypt and Qatar.

He passion is to provide world class dental care and service excellence to ensure patient satisfaction. She is meticulous with a focus on quality and preventive and minimalistic dentistry. Her goal Is to enhance the oral health culture and oral cancer prevention in the region.

Dr Ammar is a General Dentist with over 15 years of experience and enthusiasm in all aspects of dentistry. He is fluent in Arabic, English and Norwegian. He has extra skills to help those with dental phobia.

He started his journey from Palestine, where he finished his first dental degree and worked as a dentist. In Norway he joined the University of Bergen to obtain his dental degree the Norwegian Master of Dentistry. He worked in Norway until joining the British International Dental Centre in 2022.

Dr Ammar is passionate about dental excellence and self-development. He constantly updates his knowledge with further diplomas and degrees.

Dr Ammar has 3 dental licenses: from Norway, Sweden and Palestine.

He is a member of The Norwegian Dental Association and the Norwegian Association for patients with dental anxiety. 

Dr Yavar Khan was born and educated in the UK and is a registered Specialist in both the UK and Qatar. 

Dr Khan sees patients for all things relating to Periodontics, including:

Since graduating from the prestigious Royal London Dental Institute in 2012, Dr Khan has acquired a wide range of training and experience in his dental career. Dr Khan worked for many years as a general dentist in London, before returning to the Royal London to carry out his specialist training in Periodontics. He graduated with a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry in 2019, with his thesis focusing on the development of novel drug therapies for the treatment of periodontal disease. 

He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, as well as the British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Hossein is dedicated to providing bespoke treatments for patients requiring complex dental care due to missing, worn, or broken teeth, or a deteriorated dentition. His goal is to create beautiful new smiles and improve dental function.

Prosthodontics addresses what may be lacking or missing in the mouth. This can range from treating a few missing or worn teeth to more complex cases involving severe wear in all teeth or multiple missing teeth. Treatments include dental implants, bridges, crowns, and bonded composites.

Dr. Hossein completed his undergraduate studies at Bart’s & The Royal London Dental School in 2006. He has worked in various dental practices, dental hospitals, and the Community Dental Service, treating a wide variety of patients. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow (MFDS RCSPG).

He further honed his skills with specialist training, earning an M.Clin.Dent (Master of Clinical Dentistry) in Prosthodontics from the Eastman Dental Institute UCL. He also gained Membership in Prosthodontics (MPros) from both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh. Additionally, he holds a PG Diploma in Dental Implantology.
